My name is Ilan and I’m addicted to growing businesses and checking dashboards. From a young age I’ve always had a passion for online and over the year’s I’ve had a few successfully side-hustles running eCommerce businesses. Retail is in my blood – both my grandfather and father ran retail shops and from a young age I was trying all sort’s of ideas.

I spent over a decade at Optus where I worked on a number of roles across product management, marketing, digital products and eCommerce. During this time I received a number of award’s including the prestigious #1 club, awarded to the top 1% of online sales performers. I’ve been their late into the night, figuring out the latest Shopify app, shipping packages, figuring out how best to do SEO and responding to customer queries.

I’ve also been responsible for leading teams, managing multimillion dollar product budgets and creating 12 month strategic plans that are presented to VPs and CEOs. This experience at both corporate and small business level gives me a unique perspective and it is this perspective I am now offering to you.

My journey in the digital world started with a simple love for online shopping paired with a keen interest in how design shapes user interactions, which naturally led me to the world of eCommerce. I've had the chance to see things from different perspectives – both the agency and the brand side – and I've genuinely enjoyed every step of the way.

My professional journey has been largely agency-driven, where I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of brands in various industries such as Fashion, Jewellery, Health Supplements, and Homewares. This experience has honed my ability to navigate the unique challenges and opportunities each industry presents, allowing me to craft bespoke strategies that deliver tangible results. My approach is thoroughly data-driven, yet creatively fueled, aiming to boost website performance and deepen customer engagement.

A particularly rewarding chapter of my career was my time with the Australian fashion brand SACHA DRAKE, where I immersed myself in the nuances of fashion eCommerce. There, I enhanced my ability to craft captivating online spaces designed for the fashion-savvy consumer, emphasising innovative design, seamless user journeys, and effective UX/UI strategies.

My work is driven by a belief that a well-designed website is not just about aesthetics but about creating meaningful connections with users, ultimately guiding them smoothly from discovery to purchase. With a passion for eCommerce and a keen eye for detail, I am dedicated to helping brands transform their online presence, ensuring they not only meet but exceed their digital marketing goals.
